What is it you are most passionate about? What is it you would love to see, do, or be a part of?
Wouldn’t it be nice to know that you’re not just dreaming about what you love but actually achieving those dreams?
I was once told that if you don’t create, define and work toward your own goals you will spend your life working to achieve everyone else’s. Whether or not you think about it, you’re always accomplishing goals. The question is who’s goals are they?
When you have goals that you are passionate about, goals that create a lifestyle of fulfillment and pleasure, goals that add value to your daily existence, you will be designing a lifestyle for yourself where waking up feels more like a vacation instead of a hassle.
There are two very important types of goals that play key roles in creating a rewarding lifestyle.
The first are goals that we create to accomplish something that is important or necessary to us.
It may include working hard to increase your income, saving up to buy a car/home or paying off debt.
These are goals that we complete because they can strongly determine what type of lifestyle we will be able to live.
The second type of goal is a lifestyle goal because it is based largely on choice, not necessity and requires us to decide how we want to spend our time and enjoy our lives.
These types of goals would include exercise, diet, who you primarily choose to spend your time with, and what activities you derive the most pleasure from on a regular basis.
While these goals aren’t required to put a roof over your head or money in your pocket, they are vital to your overall sense of happiness and fulfillment.
Both types of goals are essential to creating a fulfilling lifestyle.
Being able to take care of the important and necessary goals so we can spend our time doing what we are passionate about on a normal basis is the key to fulfillment and success.
So what are your favorite activities to spend your time on? How can you implement them into your life on a regular basis?
What meaningless activities can you give up to spend more time on your passions, and what important goals do you need to accomplish to be able to spend your time on what your truly enjoy?
